Another film making the festival rounds this year is David Au’s “Eat With Me,” which will be released on DVD and digital from Wolfe Video in 2015.
“Elliot is a little lost: he dates the wrong guys, and his Chinese diner is struggling. The arrival on his doorstep of his old-school mother Emma is not quite the shake-up he had in mind, however. She’s left her husband and is at loose ends until she makes friends with Elliot’s gregarious neighbor Maureen (Nicole Sullivan). Elliot too needs to find a new lease on life, so when a dreamy new man comes along who plays music and loves dumplings, he begins to liven up the entrees in his own kitchen and confront his mother’s homophobia”.
